What the numbers tell you
Steam, Twitch and Google measure different kinds of activity. Compare each signal over time to understand how interest in Sandustry is changing.
How ActivePlayer collects dataHow many people are playing right now?
1,884 concurrent Steam players were recorded in the latest available update. Check the timestamp beside the count for freshness.
How often do the numbers refresh?
The live count checks for updates every five minutes while this page is open. Monthly history and search interest update less frequently. If a feed is unavailable, the last available figures remain visible with their timestamp.
Why might a chart show a gap?
A gap means a measurement is missing. It does not mean zero players, zero viewers, or zero search interest. Newly released games may have only a short history.
The game behind the numbers
About Sandustry
Sandustry is a factory-automation game from Lantto Games, published by Hooded Horse. Its destructible world treats individual pixels as materials with physical properties, making the terrain both a landscape to explore and part of the production system.
The terrain is part of the factory
Mining, processing, transport, and physical reactions connect a growing network of machines. Sand, water, ice, heat, and other materials interact, while conveyors, pumps, pipes, drones, and filters provide ways to organize them. Exploration also uncovers artifacts and new possibilities. The unusual planning problem is that the world itself can flow, melt, absorb, or react; a production line needs to account for material behavior as well as the route between two machines.
A running production line is not a productivity score
Sandustry player count tracks simultaneous Steam sessions. It cannot measure factory output, how efficiently people have arranged their machines, or the number of unique engineers who played during a day. Long building and experimentation sessions can keep concurrency steady even when players are pursuing very different goals. Compare several days at similar hours when following the audience, and check updates before attributing a change to a particular feature. Streams can attract viewers interested in an unusual factory design, while searches may concern a material reaction. Those signals describe attention around the game and should remain separate from active Steam sessions.
