Ocarina of Time remake reviews have given the Nintendo Switch 2 game a 96 Metascore. Metacritic’s game page displayed that score when checked on November 5, the listed release date.
A critic aggregate, not a player score
Metacritic labels the result Universal Acclaim. Its critic aggregate and user-rating system are separate: a high Metascore does not establish what every player thinks, nor does it measure sales or concurrent players.
The page displayed different review totals in separate panels during our check, so an exact review count is omitted here. The score and its underlying selection of reviews can also change as more coverage is added.
What the remake changes
Nintendo’s official game page describes rebuilt visuals, voiced cutscenes, expanded dialogue and updated controls. These are publisher descriptions; this article does not claim personal testing.
For development context, our report on Nintendo’s removed warp-point experiment explains a specific decision about exploration. That interview coverage is separate from the new review-score result.
