Where the Seeds Fall is now available on PS5, Nintendo Switch 2 and Steam. The single-player adventure is the first release from CygamesEdge, developed with ZEREO and published by Cygames. Its official product page lists the three platforms, while the Steam listing offers both the full game and a free demo.
An adventure built around descending
The game follows a soldier escorting a mysterious Fell Child toward the surface from humanity’s refuge in the World Tree. Its central challenge is finding a survivable route down: unstable platforms and strong winds make a landing as important as a leap.
According to the Steam description, players can carry flower buds and throw them toward a landing point. The resulting blossoms cushion falls that would otherwise be fatal. That makes planning where to land part of the route through the environment.
Length, extra modes and the Steam demo
The publisher estimates the main story at around three hours, with harder maps and a time-trial mode after completion. That is a publisher estimate, not a measured playtime from our own review. The Steam demo provides a separate way to sample the game before choosing the full version.
What CygamesEdge is
Cygames introduced CygamesEdge as a brand for small and mid-sized teams, with work spanning its own development and partnerships. Where the Seeds Fall is its debut title. The announcement identifies CygamesEdge and ZEREO as developers and lists support for English, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese.
That distinction helps place the release: this is a standalone single-player adventure, rather than a new entry in one of Cygames’ existing series. Its appeal rests on the descent mechanic and compact story described by the publisher; this launch report does not offer a review verdict.
