CONTEXT MATTERS
What the numbers tell you
Steam, Twitch and Google measure different kinds of activity. Compare each signal over time to understand how interest in Active Matter is changing.
How ActivePlayer collects dataHow many people are playing right now?
2,297 concurrent Steam players were recorded in the latest available update. Check the timestamp beside the count for freshness.
How often do the numbers refresh?
The live count checks for updates every five minutes while this page is open. Monthly history and search interest update less frequently. If a feed is unavailable, the last available figures remain visible with their timestamp.
Why might a chart show a gap?
A gap means a measurement is missing. It does not mean zero players, zero viewers, or zero search interest. Newly released games may have only a short history.
The game behind the numbers
About Active Matter
Active Matter is a military extraction shooter developed by Matter Team and published by Gaijin Network Ltd. Its operatives are caught in a fractured multiverse, entering unstable zones to collect valuable resources and equipment before extracting.
How it plays
Raids combine realistic weapons with supernatural anomalies that can distort the environment. Players can venture out alone or in small squads, facing hostile creatures and, in PvPvE encounters, competing operatives. Loot supports equipment upgrades and base development, while separate PvP battles focus on control of active matter sources.
Reading the player activity
Steam concurrency is a useful view of simultaneous activity, but it does not show how players are divided between regions, modes, or private groups. Compare averages and daily peaks over similar periods to understand the broader trend. A global player count cannot guarantee a particular queue time or server experience. Twitch viewers and search interest provide separate context rather than additional players.
