CONTEXT MATTERS
What the numbers tell you
Steam, Twitch and Google measure different kinds of activity. Compare each signal over time to understand how interest in Chained Beasts is changing.
How ActivePlayer collects dataHow many people are playing right now?
1,611 concurrent Steam players were recorded in the latest available update. Check the timestamp beside the count for freshness.
How often do the numbers refresh?
The live count checks for updates every five minutes while this page is open. Monthly history and search interest update less frequently. If a feed is unavailable, the last available figures remain visible with their timestamp.
Why might a chart show a gap?
A gap means a measurement is missing. It does not mean zero players, zero viewers, or zero search interest. Newly released games may have only a short history.
The game behind the numbers
About Chained Beasts
Chained Beasts is Featherweight Games’ cooperative gladiator roguelike for one to four players. Fighters enter the arena physically chained together, turning movement and positioning into shared problems rather than individual choices.
The chain is a weapon and an obstacle
Friends can coordinate their movement to trip enemies or use the arena’s hazards against them. Poor coordination can leave the same group tangled around an obstacle. Runs introduce bosses, equipment choices, skills, and injuries that complicate the next fight. Online and same-screen co-op are both listed on Steam. The central appeal is that a teammate’s direction changes your own options, making communication part of the combat system rather than an optional layer over it.
Steam sessions are not the same as arena fighters
Chained Beasts player count measures simultaneous Steam sessions. Same-screen co-op means several people can share one session, so Steam concurrency should not be presented as an exact headcount of everyone holding a controller. It also does not identify open groups or how many players are fighting a particular boss. For planning a session, your friends’ availability is more useful than a worldwide peak. To follow the wider community, compare equivalent periods across several days. A funny arena clip can attract Twitch attention without a proportional rise in active sessions; viewing and playing remain different measures of interest.
