CONTEXT MATTERS
What the numbers tell you
Steam, Twitch and Google measure different kinds of activity. Compare each signal over time to understand how interest in ForgeTax is changing.
How ActivePlayer collects dataHow many people are playing right now?
1,105 concurrent Steam players were recorded in the latest available update. Check the timestamp beside the count for freshness.
How often do the numbers refresh?
The live count checks for updates every five minutes while this page is open. Monthly history and search interest update less frequently. If a feed is unavailable, the last available figures remain visible with their timestamp.
Why might a chart show a gap?
A gap means a measurement is missing. It does not mean zero players, zero viewers, or zero search interest. Newly released games may have only a short history.
The game behind the numbers
ForgeTax makes every hammer strike a gamble
ForgeTax is a first-person roguelite from GraveYardDev about forging swords and meeting the demands of a dragon. Each successful strike can raise a blade's value, but another attempt can shatter it. The challenge is deciding how much risk to take before handing over the next tribute.
Keep the blade or trade for an advantage
Swords also buy relics, creating a trade-off between immediate payment and bonuses for later forging. Repeated successful work charges Frenzy, opening a brief opportunity to hammer without shattering the blade. Relic combinations change the odds as you prepare for another round at the anvil.
Reading the activity between runs
Compare absolute Steam counts across several days before drawing conclusions from a large percentage swing. With a small audience, a few additional players can produce a substantial percentage increase. Concurrent activity also cannot distinguish newcomers from returning players experimenting with another build. As a single-player game, ForgeTax does not need a populated matchmaking queue for a run to work. Missing viewing data should be read as unavailable information, rather than evidence that nobody is watching or playing.
ActivePlayer takeaway Follow the absolute player trend over time, and keep the size of the Steam audience separate from the experience of an individual run.
