About Genshin Impact
Genshin Impact is a fantasy RPG that unites the wonder of open-worlds with the excitement of action-based battle. Critics claim that it bears a lot of resemblance to The Legend of Zelda. But a closer look reveals that Genshin Impact has enough dynamics and features to hold its own as a great game.
Development and Platforms
The game owes its creation to miHoYo, a Chinese game and animation studio. It was released worldwide in September 2020 on four platforms – Android, iOS, Windows, and PS4.
You’ll need about 8GB of storage for mobile devices regardless of platform. So, the download time may be longer than other games. Either way, it’s a fully online game so you’ll need a decent connection.
They added the playability of the PS4 version on the PS5 as recent as November 2020. But plans are on the way to push the game to both the PS5 and Nintendo Switch.
Gameplay
The open-world RPG allows you to use one of four characters at a time. Characters are interchangeable, and you can switch between them during battle or exploration. Besides exploration, you often run into challenges and quests on the map. Here, you can earn decent rewards and goodies. Progress on these challenges raises your rank and the world level too.
The action-based game allows a variety of mobility that includes gliding, swimming, climbing, running, etc. Food and ore are available in the world. They can enhance your character or equipment for higher stats. The game also revolves around the interaction of seven elements. These elements manifest in various elemental attacks and defences you engage in. The game also has a multiplayer mode that’s similar to co-ops.
The game’s whole purpose/objective is to enjoy the open-world, experiment with abilities, perform challenges, and enjoy the game dynamics. The plot does have an end, but there is so much more to draw from this game.
