Anno 117 Dawn of the Delta is available now, adding the province of Aegyptus to Pax Romana. Ubisoft’s November 5 developer update also confirms a free weekend for the base game, running until November 9. The expansion is not included in that free access.
What changes in Aegyptus
Dawn of the Delta asks governors to manage river floods, irrigation and new production chains, alongside a local raider and decisions about Romanization. Existing saves can incorporate the new region, while a new game can begin in Aegyptus. That gives established players a way to visit the province without starting their entire empire again.
The free weekend supports multiplayer and co-op, but Ubisoft explicitly limits it to the base-game experience. A friend trying Anno through the promotion should not assume they can access Dawn of the Delta or the other DLC.
Free-weekend end times differ by platform
Ubisoft’s official timing map lists these November 9 cutoffs. Singapore conversions below use UTC+8:
- PC and PS5: 12:00 UTC / 8 p.m. Singapore.
- Xbox Series X|S: 07:00 UTC / 3 p.m. Singapore.
Xbox access therefore ends five hours earlier. Check the relevant platform listing before planning a session near the cutoff; the offer is temporary access to the base game.
Update 3.0 arrives with the expansion
The accompanying patch also matters to returning players. Ubisoft’s Update 3.0 overview describes reusable building-layout stamps, expanded storage and item statistics, and new Hall of Fame rewards available without buying the expansion. It also says console installation-size improvements can initially require a larger update download.
The same overview says revised goods-consumption balancing does not automatically change existing saves. Players can still adjust their consumption difficulty separately. These system changes are distinct from the new province itself.
