Assassin’s Creed Valhalla New Game Plus arrives on November 5, 2026, Ubisoft has announced. The mode lets players restart Eivor’s saga with much of their progression retained and dedicated scaling for the new run.
The details come from Ubisoft’s October 29 franchise update. Full patch notes are still to come, so the announcement does not yet answer every question about carryover or platform-specific changes.
What the Valhalla New Game Plus update includes
- Progression carryover and dedicated New Game+ scaling.
- An optional Power system using Gear, Runes and Masteries.
- New runes, achievements, rewards and a stash system.
- Mithril for upgrading Divine Gear and strengthening runes.
- Divine Gear quality for all items.
One announced reward is a Master Assassin outfit inspired by Naoe in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Ubisoft says more information about current-generation console updates will follow.
What to check before starting another run
Wait for the patch notes before assuming that every item, quest reward or progression system transfers unchanged. “Much of your progression” leaves room for exceptions. A useful replay plan depends on the precise carryover rules and the final scaling settings.
For long-running RPGs, replay options and progression changes serve different needs. New Game+ supports another campaign, while the stash and gear changes may also matter to players returning to an existing save. The final notes should clarify how those systems fit together.
The player milestone behind the announcement
Ubisoft says Valhalla recently passed 40 million players. That is a cumulative audience milestone, not a count of people playing simultaneously or a current monthly-active total.
