The Food Devils Steam delay has pushed the tactical RPG roguelite past its planned November 3 Early Access launch. In an original Steam announcement, Studio Daimon game director Alfred Kamon says the team is still waiting for approval of a build submitted on October 12.
What is confirmed about the delay?
Kamon says the studio cannot provide a firm replacement date until approval arrives. The announcement is displayed as November 4 at 5:37 a.m. Singapore time, which is November 3 in UTC. His hope of launching later in the week is not a release commitment.
At the time of this November 4 check, the official Steam store page still says Coming soon and that the game is not yet available. That independently confirms its public release status; it does not reveal the internal review queue or the reason approval is pending.
The free demo remains an option
The store offers a free demo. Studio Daimon’s October demo update describes the new version as the full Prologue, with two playable Devils and English voice-over. The studio says progress from that new demo will carry into Early Access; saves from the older June demo are not compatible with the newer demo.
Food Devils combines tactical expeditions with cooking and restaurant building. The store describes gathering monster ingredients, attracting adventurers and forming contracts with the Devils. We have not personally tested the demo.
AI claims remain allegations
Kamon suggests AI submissions may be contributing to delays, but presents that explanation as an assumption. Separately, Wheel Make It publisher 2 Left Thumbs complained in a verified November 2 X post about its own delayed approval and launch visibility.
Those statements establish what the developers are alleging. They do not independently prove that AI content caused a particular review delay or a game’s sales outcome. Wishlists and simultaneous players are also different measures.
For Food Devils itself, the useful next signal is a dated approval or release announcement on the official store page and developer news feed.
