Remnant 2 – the newly released action RPG game with over 8 million of monthly active players and takes players on a thrilling journey through a post-apocalyptic world teeming with ancient creatures and hidden mysteries. In this game players often find themselves diving deep into the game’s mechanics, optimizing their characters for the challenges that lie ahead. But as any seasoned gamer knows, sometimes early decisions don’t pan out as expected.
Remnant 2 offered players the ability to respec or short for re-specialization of their characters, but he wanted to experience the process firsthand. After booting up his trusty console, he loaded his save file and made his way to the NPC named Wallace – the man who had helped him choose his class at the very beginning of his journey. Wallace confirmed that he could indeed respec the blogger’s character, allowing him to reassign all of his earned trait points.
How to Respec in Remnant 2
To respec your traits in Remnant 2, the key lies with a character named Wallace. Remember him? He’s the same individual who introduced you to your class or “Archetype” during the early hours of your adventure.
Step 1: Find Wallace
Wallace isn’t just hanging around in any obvious spot. He’s tucked away in Ward 13. Specifically, you’ll find him up the stairs near the construction part of the area, settled in a quaint little hut. Another source suggests that he’s atop a crane near the water, slightly distanced from the main town area. Either way, keep an eye out for this elusive character.
Step 2: Buy the Orb of Undoing
Once you’ve located Wallace, you’ll need to purchase the Orb of Undoing from him. This magical item is the key to resetting all your spent Trait Points. The cost? Three Lumenite Crystals and 2500 Scrap. While these resources can be found in abundance throughout the game, they’re not to be wasted. The Orb of Undoing allows you to start your trait journey from scratch, so use it wisely.
Step 3: Activate the Orb
After acquiring the Orb of Undoing, navigate to your inventory screen. Hover over the orb and select the ‘use’ option. Voilà! Your trait points are now reset, ready to be reallocated as you see fit.
Extra Warning on Performing Respec
The ability to respec your character seems mighty tempting – I’ve been there. But take it from me, you gotta be smart about it. Going wild and respec’ing all over the place will drain your resources faster than a Spitfire on full auto. Those Lumenite Crystals and Scrap don’t grow on trees, you know. The best approach is to save your respecs for when you really feel like your build just ain’t cutting it no more.
And remember, your traits are just one part of the equation. To really dominate in Remnant 2, you gotta get your hands on the hottest new weapons and mods too. A sick build don’t mean squat if you’re still running around with that rusty old revolver, feel me? A well-rounded arsenal – now that’s the ticket to stomping through the campaign on the hardest difficulty.
The point is, Remnant 2 gives you the chance to correct any boneheaded decisions you made early on. So whether you’re a greenhorn looking to fix some newbie mistakes, or a hardcore vet wanting to try out a new playstyle, the path to respec is open. Now get out there and lay waste to those alien scumbags! This is our world, and they gotta learn to respect it!
