Remember when it launched last month and immediately taking the crown from Counter-Strike 2 as the top game? Yeah, that was a big deal! Palworld was the talk of the town, it hits over 2 million players and snagging the top spot from a giant like CS2. But fast forward to this month, and things have taken a turn. The player count has dropped to between 300k and 500k.
So, what’s going on? Why did so many players leave? Let’s break it down.
Beat it and Move on
After a month of playing, a bunch of players have said they beat it, and had a good time. But after finishing the main story, they didn’t find much else to do. So, they moved. They’re waiting for the game makers to drop some new content before they jump back in.
Xbox Issues
Another issue was a problem for the Xbox users. A good number of players have run into annoying crashes while playing on their Xbox consoles. It’s frustrating when you’re in the middle of the game and suddenly, everything just stops. That’s definitely pushed some players away.
No PvP
Another thing we’ve heard is about the lack of PvP, or player vs. player battles. After beating the game, there’s not much left to do. In many games, PvP keeps things interesting because you can compete against other players. But in Palworld, once you’re done with the main story, there’s not much to keep you coming back.
