Newly released game Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown has some exciting updates on their post-launched roadmap. Prince of Persia is not a new game, Ubisoft released a bunch of franchise on this game in the past and this is their latest addition on the list.
This game thrusts players into an epic action–adventure set within a mythological Persian world, ripe with the series’ trademark time manipulation mechanics. Currently, playable on multiple platforms such as PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series XS, and Amazon Luna.
This iteration of the storied franchise departs from its traditional roots by offering a 2.5D Metroidvania experience, emphasizing exploration, platforming, and combat within the mystical realm of Mount Qaf.
Price of Persia: The Lost Crown
In The Lost Crown, players assume the role of Sargon, a young hero referred to as ‘The Rashabar.’ Unlike previous entries, the titular prince takes a backseat, and it’s up to Sargon and his band of Immortals, each with their distinctive personalities and abilities, to rescue him.
This fresh focus brings with it a dynamic supporting cast that enriches the narrative and gameplay, offering a more interconnected experience with the world and its inhabitants.
The Game Structure
The game’s structure promises a deeply intertwined map filled with varied biomes, each boasting its unique challenges, enemies, and secrets.
Like in the previous franchise you will be immersed to its world to explore dilapidated dungeons, dense forests, and a host of other distinct environments, all while engaging with NPCs and uncovering the rich tapestry of the in-game universe.
Combat in The Lost Crown is designed to be fast-paced and agile, allowing Sargon to employ a mix of basic attacks, special abilities, and environment interaction to overcome foes.
The Athra Surge system introduces a layer of strategy, empowering Sargon with potent abilities that players can unleash once they’ve filled their Athra meter through combat.
You can buy and download the game from Ubisofts official page which also offers a Deluxe version of the game.
